  • Music lessons usually meet once per week for 30-minutes during which students focus on learning the technique required to play and how to present the music they enjoy. Additional topics include music theory, focused practiced and competitive music.

    Please come try a lesson for free to see if learning an instrument is right for you.

  • I recommend beginning students study 3-6 months of consistent lessons and practice to achieve short terms goals such as learning to read and play a specific song.

  • The short answer is yes. The long answer is yes, and we will find how to make your practice work for you. If you are practicing right, you will enjoy practice.

    Most students begin learning music with 15-20 minutes of practice 3-5 times per week. How much time you should spend per week depends on your level and goals. oes here

  • You don’t need a traditional piano, though it is certainly nice to have one. At a minimum a keyboard with 64+ keys that are touch sensitive and a pedal will get you started in learning the instrument.

  • Standard tuition rates are $140 per month for a 30-minute weekly lesson.

    A student may choose to attend more minutes per week and/or pay an annual fee for a discounted rate. I offer 45-minute lessons are $192 and 60-minute lessons are $230.

    Family special: Families with more than one student attending lessons are eligible for a 20% discount on tuition rates.

    Home School special: Students attending lessons during weekday hours (11am-2pm) are eligible for a 20% discount on tuition rates.

  • Yes! My instruments include piano, saxophone, and voice. However, most musicians benefit from the musical foundation of learning the piano.

  • Yes. 45-minute and 60-minute lessons are options.

    If you are an experienced instrumentalist, lessons that do not meet regularly are available.

  • Online lessons are an amazing way to connect. However, piano technique and sound are best learned in person. I teach online though recommend these lessons for students with more than two years of learning or a hybrid of in-person and online.

  • It is possible to learn some instrument basics. Students learning solely from videos easily unknowing develop bad habits in their technique and/or reading that can be harmful to longevity of playing an instrument with skill.
